The student bears the responsibility for paying tuition by the payment deadline in WISE. The system is built for you to see exactly what you owe and when it’s due, and you must arrange payment or enroll in a payment plan by that date to stay enrolled. Financial aid can help by applying eligible funds to your balance, but it doesn’t shift the obligation away from you—if aid hasn’t posted or funds arrive late, you’re still responsible for covering any remaining amount by the deadline. The registrar maintains enrollment records and status, not billing and payments, and the department chair isn’t involved in student billing. So, the student is the correct focus because the responsibility for meeting payment deadlines lies with you as the student.
